Great Night Underground...

I don't know why but sometimes some of our "better" shows seem to be in small, intimate places. This week we played on Broadway (yes, now we can say we were "on Broadway"...) at a club called "The Underground" in New York City (B'dway and 107th.) It was a low-key night. A duet with bassist Pat Ryan (aka "Magic Pat".) We had an absolute blast playing tunes off the last five CDs (including some we haven't played in a long time.) Now I know why they call Pat "Magic." There were times during the set I felt like we were levitating. It was fun and interesting to play those songs as a guitar/bass duet and Pat's playing was extraordinary. We went in all kinds of different directions and enjoyed every turn...

The NYC people are always great and of course hanging afterwards is always part of the fun. Plus the Brooklyn IPA on draft is second-to-none. We hope to return to the Underground some time in the fall and are already looking forward to our set (with drummer Bob and many-hands Tom) at the Alphabet Lounge in NYC at the end of October. KM
